It was the perfect blend of comedy, heart, and action, all necessary elements in a successful and great animation/CGI film, in the tradition of The Incredibles and less action, but containing the heart and laughter Ratatouille, Finding Nemo and Monsters, took my wife and nephew and niece to see it on a Friday night and they enjoyed it, too! We were totally laughing, smiling, and guffawing at Po, the main protagonist voiced by Jack Black and his misadventures at becoming a Kung Fu expert. This was certainly a flawed character, one that a lot of people can relate to because he dreams, he's funny, and he can laugh at himself. Also, the story was pretty clear and easy to follow because the storytelling was well crafted, and the animation was paired well with characters brought vividly to life by some of the most famous names in Hollywood. Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman are downright excellent as the main characters, and Ian McShane as the bad dude gave it the right fearful presence. Other big name stars don't shine as much, but that's because their roles are rather limited in the film. But that's still okay because the animators should be given equal credit if not more for delivering the funny, action and heart elements of this movie in an effective, amazing and I've got to use this AWESOME manner. Visually, this movie is stunning notice all those scenic shots of the Chinese mountains, bodies of water, and the bridge scene; not to mention the action animation version of "The Matrix" with slow-mo... simply a delight to clear that Dreamworks has gotten back in the animation game with Kung Fu Panda, after slight ho-hums in Shrek 3 and Bee Movie call me crazy, but I liked Over The Hedge more than those two. Hopefully, it should earn well over $500M worldwide because it is so movie rightfully belongs in the top animation movies of all time okay, let's not include the classic fairy tales of old; let's begin with the 90's onwards, alongside my faves "The Incredibles" "Finding Nemo" and "Beauty & The Beast." Has the makings of being a wife and I enjoyed it so much that we saw it again the night after. Universal Pictures has set a March 8, 2024 release date for Kung Fu Panda 4. The latest chop socky pic from the movie franchise that features Po and the Furious Five will take the place of the untitled DreamWorks Animation film. Inspired by traditional martial arts and set in ancient China, the Kung Fu Panda film series tells the epic tale of wide-eyed Po, whose love of kung fu is matched only by an insatiable appetite. The Academy Award-nominated 2008 inaugural chapter — with the lovable bear Po that is the Chinese panda voiced by Jack Black — became DreamWorks’ highest-grossing original animated film. The original Kung Fu Panda movie launched a trilogy that has earned more than $ billion at the global box office. With its massive fan base, the franchise has expanded to a cross-category consumer products program, video games, an Emmy Award-winning television series and global theme-park attractions. That includes Kung Fu Panda The Dragon Knight, the third TV series in the franchise born from the original animated feature film Kung Fu Panda, which was followed by big-screen sequels in 2011 and 2016. The Netflix animated series was backed by voice actors Black, Rita Ora and James Hong, alongside art director Ellen Jin and executive producers Peter Hastings and Shaunt Nigoghossian, on Po’s latest journey as a martial arts warrior. Home Movie News Jack Black will be back for the fourth installment of the DreamWorks franchise. Image via DreamWorks The Dragon Warrior is back, and he's about to embark to face the most threatening enemy he's ever had to battle. Jack Black was present at CinemaCon, during Universal Studios' panel. When it was time to talk about what DreamWorks Animation is currently working on, Kung Fu Panda 4 was at the center of the conversation, with the actor appearing on stage to discuss what the new movie will be about. Black has voiced Po ever since the first movie fought its way into theaters back in 2008, teaching a lesson about how stereotypes might cloud people's judgment. Kung Fu Panda 4 will feature Po leaving the Valley of Peace to go to the big city, where the unexpected personification of evil will already be waiting for him. A new villain, called The Chameleon, is in town, and the Dragon Warrior's new adversary is not someone he can mess around with. What makes this new adversary particularly dangerous is their ability to summon enemies from Po's past, which have included one of Master Shifu's Dustin Hoffman previous students and a crane Gary Oldman that wanted to get rid of pandas once and for all. Besides dealing with the burden of facing his strongest enemy yet, Po will have to look for a replacement, as he knows that he can't be the Dragon Warrior forever. The way he got the role in the first place was controversial enough, and the fact that Grand Master Oogway Randall Duk Kim always vouched for him made a big difference in regard to how the kung fu community looked at him at first. Since Po knows that the process to find a successor can be messy, to say the least, he'll try to find a worthy fighter while he still can do it without any major pressure on his shoulders. Po's Current Adventures After the third film in the franchise was released in 2016, DreamWorks didn't know if they'd get to work with Po on the big screen again, and they began to focus on new franchises, such as the Trolls movies. This gave the Dragon Warrior's franchise freedom to grow on television, releasing several streaming shows for children over the years. The latest effort comes in the form of Kung Fu Panda Dragon Knight, a Netflix production that sees Po going on new adventures around the world, while introducing his newest friend, Sir Luthera Rita Ora.
